Safety & Culture at JJOE CN
We believe that to do quality work, you need quality equipment—and professionals who know how to use it. Every technician at JJOE CN is equipped with industry-approved safety gear and trained to handle every task with precision, pride, and professionalism.
Our Safety Management System (SMS)
1. Lead with Example
Our leadership is deeply involved in safety—from regular safety briefings and on-site visits to allocating resources and reinforcing a safety-first mindset.
2. Train & Engage
Every team member undergoes mandatory onboarding and ongoing training. We encourage daily safety checks, open reporting channels, and the authority to stop work if something is unsafe.
Key programs include:
Comprehensive field mentoring
“Stop Work” policy—no penalties for speaking up
Dedicated safety hotline and feedback mechanisms
3. Identify & Mitigate Risks
Before every job, we conduct hazard analyses and task-based assessments to uncover and reduce risk proactively.
4. Evaluate & Improve
We continuously review safety observations, incident reports, and near-misses to refine our processes. Learning happens daily through coaching, metrics tracking, and field audits.
Our technicians are given cold water and ice in the morning so they can stay hydrated while working.
Stay Hydrated
Hydration Facilities
To ensure workers remain refreshed and hydrated during work hours, clean drinking water is provided on-site.
Water Cooler (5 Gallons): Equipped with ice and clean water to maintain a cool temperature throughout the day.
Access to Drinking Water: Easily accessible to all workers to prevent dehydration, especially in hot working conditions.
Daily Maintenance: The cooler is refilled and cleaned regularly to ensure safe and hygienic drinking water.
💡 Staying hydrated helps maintain energy levels, reduces the risk of heat stress, and supports overall worker health and productivity.
Essential Safety Equipment
Our technicians are provided with—and required to wear—the following safety gear on all jobs
Safety Glasses
Protects against flying debris, dust, and sharp materials during cable cuts, drilling, and installs.
Hard Hat
Head protection is mandatory on all active job sites to reduce the risk of falling object injuries.
Electrician’s Glove
Rated and insulated for electrical work—ensures safe handling of energized equipment and conductors.
Cut-Resistant Glove
Reinforced gloves that prevent hand injuries during fiber slicing, rewiring, and sharp tool use.
Goggles
For full eye protection in high-risk zones, particularly during chemical use, grinding, or dust-heavy operations
Safety Work Boots
Steel-toe, slip-resistant boots that meet ANSI/OSHA standards—built for traction, protection, and all-day wear.
High-Visibility Vest
Worn in road work, trenching, and MDU deployments to ensure every technician is seen and safe.
Headlamp / Flashlight
For low-light environments like underground conduits, attic runs, or night service calls.
FVD
It helps protect users by providing an early warning of live voltage, ensuring safer handling during electrical work.
